Peter has been lecturing on and assessing Royal Horticultural Society courses at Bedford College since 2018 and has been a self-employed horticulturist since 2017.

This work involves garden maintenance and design, horticultural consultancy, talks to garden clubs and societies, and plant sales.

Peter’s other work in the industry has included nursery work and plant production, as well as varied interests within the amenity sector, including working as a gardener and helping train gardening staff at Age UK Milton Keynes.

As part of his studies, Peter has conducted experiments into the role of sound on seed germination and propagation success, as well as researching tree diseases and the business development of horticultural organisations.
