Agapanthus 'Twister' is a smaller-sized African lily that grows around 50cm tall.

In summer, it boasts large round globes of trumpet-shaped flowers which are deep blue at the base and white at the tips.

Plant height is measured from the base of the pot to the top of the plant. Heights are approximate and may vary with season.

The most common sized pots we sell from our nursery are 9cm, 17cm (2L), 19cm (3L) and 22.5cm (5L).

Agapanthus 'Twister' (African Lily 'Twister')

Twister' is a great African lily to choose if space is an issue, or you want a plant to place closer to the front of a border. It grows only 50cm tall, and wide, yet still makes an impact with its large, spherical flower heads 20cm across. On these spheres, many trumpet-like flowers stick out - with blue at the bases and white at the tips.

As with other Agapanthus, this should be grown in full sun, in a sheltered spot, in soil that is relatively free-draining. It can be grown in the ground where conditions are suitable, or in a pot.

Container growing can be a good choice for colder areas, so it can be moved inside during the winter weather. In the ground, mulch can provide some protection over the coldest part of the year.
