Feather reed grass 'Karl Foerster' is an ornamental grass cultivar valued for its attractive feathery fountain-like form, and its flowering panicles that persist through summer and into autumn.

Growing well in full sun or partial shade, this grass prefers a moist but free draining or free draining soil, though it is otherwise unfussy. It will do best in a humus-rich soil but it can cope with all but the very poorest of soil types.

Easy to grow, and generally trouble-free, this ornamental grass can be an attractive choice for cottage gardens or prairie-style planting. It can be propagated by division in the spring.
