Echinacea purpurea 'Magnus' is a tough perennial plant. This coneflower has purple daisy-like flowers with prominent orangey-brown cones. It is a great bee and butterfly attractant.

Echinacea purp. 'Magnus' (Coneflower 'Magnus')

This coneflower cultivar is a strong, upright perennial. Its flowers, purple with orange central cones, are carried on sturdy stems above coarse, dark green foliage. Together, the flowers and foliage create a striking display from midsummer into early autumn.

This cultivar, like other coneflowers, does best in a location with full sun and well-drained soil. One established, it is drought-tolerant and can continue to attract beneficial insects to your garden even when the weather is dry.

Typically reaching heights of around 80cm to 1m, this cultivar is a good choice for the middle of sunny borders, and it works very well in prairie-style or naturalistic planting schemes.
