Erigeron karvinskianus (Mexican Fleabane)

Erigeron karvinskianus, commonly known as Mexican fleabane, is a charming, spreading perennial plant admired for its profusion of small, daisy-like flowers. The blooms open white, with yellow centres, and as they age the petals gradually turn a soft pink, creating an interesting two-tone effect over the course of the growing season.

This is a resilient and tough little plant, which thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established it is drought tolerant and in the right setting, it can self-seed readily.

Flowering from late spring and well into autumn, it forms a loose, trailing mound of slender stems and small greyish-green leaves. Growing to around 30cm in height, it is ideal for spilling over walls, or down the edges of stone steps, softening paving edges, or filling gaps in gravel gardens.
