Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime' is a compact deciduous shrub originating in Asia. The plant produces conical flowerheads from August into September. These open lime green before transitioning through creamy white and pink.

Hydrangea pan. 'Little Lime' (Panicled Hydrangea 'Little Lime')

A scaled-down version of 'Limelight', 'Little Lime' reaches no more than 1.5m in height and spread. It's useful where the full-sized cultivar would outgrow its space, whilst still offering the same colour-shifting panicles that brighten any garden.

'Little Lime' grows happily in most well-drained soils and prefers a site in full or part sun. Paniculata hydrangeas are particularly intolerant of drought - leaves can wilt and deteriorate quite quickly in dry conditions.

Annual pruning directly influences the quality and quantity of the following season's display - as such it's best to cut back the previous season's spent stems in late winter or early spring.
