Ligustrum ovalifolium ‘Aureum’ (AKA 'Golden Privet') is a variegated, evergreen shrub. It's typically grown as bright, golden-edged hedging. In early summer you can expect small white flowers that especially complement the plant's yellow-toned leaves.

This Japanese cultivar forms an upright shape that makes it perfect for hedging. Each plant will ultimately reach 3–4m in height and spread when left to mature.

The oval leaves of Golden Privet show rich yellow margins and green centres - offering boundaries and topiary a lighter visual weight than standard green Privet.

Caring for this plant is a doddle: it grows in most soil types, tolerates poorer ground and grows well in exposed sites. Keep it compact with routine trimming throughout the year.
