A Henry's honeysuckle is an attractive evergreen climber with year-round interest. It is particularly prized for its foliage, which starts with a coppery tone in spring and persists in a dark green hue for the rest of the year, and for its flowers, which are an orangy yellow colour. The berries that follow are a deep blue, almost black - note that these are poisonous.

This is a climber for partial shade rather than full sun. It likes a moist and humus rich soil and a sheltered location. Mulch well upon planting and ensure that you maintain soil moisture through dry periods during establishment.

In a suitable location, this climber can grow to 8 plus metres in height, with a spread of 1-2.5m. It provides a good backdrop for other planting, covering walls or fences, and it pairs well with other partial shade-tolerant climbers that bring colour contrast.
