Lychnis flos-cuculi 'Jenny' is a sterile, double-flowered garden cultivar of the common wildflower ragged robin. It has bright cerise pink flowers which are held above neat green clumps of foliage in the early summer.

Lychnis 'Jenny' (Ragged Robin 'Jenny')

This cultivar of the wildflower ragged robin is admired for its vivid cerise-pink flowers that create an eye-catching display in the early to mid summer, and sometimes also provide a second flush of blooms before autumn.

A perennial grows around 45-60cm in height, it has a neat and tidy growth habit. The bright colour contracts delightfully with blues or purples and looks good against a backdrop of ornamental grasses.

It is best to grow Lychnis 'Jenny' in a moist but free-draining soil in full sun or partial shade. The latter can be better in areas with lower water availability. Deadhead spent flowers to be rewarded with a second flush of flowers. Cut back lightly after flowering if you wish to retain neatness and vigour.
