Key features

Nepeta 'Six Hills Giant' (Catmint 'Six Hills Giant')

Nepeta 'Six Hills Giant' is a catmint variety that is vigorous and long-flowering. It is admired for its generous spikes of bluish-purple flowers that look a little like lavender, and its aromatic greyish-green foliage. Blooming from late spring into the summer months, it creates soft sumptuous mounds that come alive with the sound of bees in summer.

Growing into billowing mounds around 80cm to 1m in height, it naturally gently weaves through neighbouring plants, and creates a soft and airy effect.

Best grown in full sun or light shade in a well-drained soil, this is a plant that is drought-tolerant once established. Cut back the plant after the first flush of flowers to encourage a second display and to retain compact growth.
