Knotweed 'Darjeeling Red' is a perennial plant prized for its slender spikes of flowers, which emerge pink and then alter to a deep red as the summer progresses. The blooms appear from midsummer and bloom over a long period, often well into autumn, when the foliage also provides additional interest as it turns autumnal hues.

Reaching around 80cm to 1m in height, it forms upright clumps that add vertical interest and structure without overwhelming neighbouring plants. The long flowering season and autumnal foliage mean that this plant guarantees dependable colour late in the year.
