Scabiosa 'Butterfly Blue' is a charming, long-flowering perennial with pincushion-shaped blooms in a soft, lavender-blue hue. Flowering from spring well into autumn, it delivers an exceptional season of colour in sunny planting schemes.

Forming clumps of grey-green foliage that sits neatly at the front of borders or in patio containers, this plant reaches around 30-40cm in height. The open flowers are highly attractive to pollinators, making this a wonderful choice for a wildlife-friendly space.

Best grown in well-drained conditions in full sun, it performs reliably and tolerates drier conditions once it is established. Deadheading to encourage further flowers, and trimming to maintain a tidy appearance if you wish, are pretty much the only care requirements.
