Filipendula rubra 'Venusta' (AKA 'Queen of the Prairie' or 'Meadowsweet') features towering red stems of up to 2m or more. In summer these are topped with heads of tiny rose-pink flowers. Sweetly scented and drawing bees and butterflies, this North American native is built for damp ground. It holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
