Hydrangea arbor. 'Annabelle' (Hydrangea 'Annabelle')

Annabelle' is a naturally occurring cultivar discovered in the wild in America.

It differs from the parent species primarily in the scale of its flowers - considerably larger than those of straight Hydrangea arborescens.

These make it a long-standing favourite for borders and woodland-edge planting.

Foliage tends to suffer in dry conditions, so regular watering during dry spells is important.

Since flowers tend to form primarily on new growth, we recommend you prune stems back close to the ground in late winter each year. This will encourage vigorous growth and hopefully the largest flowerheads.
