This Asian juniper forms a slow-growing rounded mound - typically less than half a metre tall.

Little awl-shaped needles pack tightly across the plant, offering a cool blue tone that holds through winter.

This spiky texture of 'Blue Star' is a useful contrast to complementary flowering plants in rockeries, borders and mixed containers.
