Carex testacea ‘Prairie Fire’ is a low-growing evergreen sedge for year-round colour. It has shaggy bright green foliage tipped with orange. The name 'Prairie Fire' comes from its colour which deepens to a richer copper hue through autumn and winter.

The 'Prairie Fire' cultivar forms a low mound that holds its colour through much of the year - with the most intense tones developing as temperatures drop.
