Bleeding heart 'Alba' is a spring-flowering woodland perennial prized for its pure white, heart-shaped flowers, each with a delicate inner petal that enhances its distinctive form. The flowers neatly hang along their curving branches.

This is a plant that performs best in a humus rich soil in partial or dappled shade. In ideal scenarios, it can reach around 90cm in height. After flowering, the foliage may naturally die back as the plant enters dormancy.

Blooming from mid to late spring, this plant adds brightness to shaded borders or woodland gardens, and also works very well in any cottage garden style schemes.
