Digitalis purp. 'Alba' (White Foxglove)

White foxglove is a biennial or short-lived perennial foxglove which is valued for its stately spires of white, tubular blooms. Each flower is delicately marked within the throat, and the flowers are densely arranged along one side of upright stems that rise from a rosette of soft green leaves.

A hardy and resilient plant, this can cope with a wide range of soil types and growing conditions, but prefers a moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial or dappled shade.

Flowering in early to mid summer, it is a back of border plant, growing to around 1.2-1.5m in height. It also works well in forest gardens or woodland gardens, though note that, like other foxgloves, it is poisonous to people and pets.
