Cranesbill 'Johnson's Blue' is a much-loved perennial celebrated for its violet hued blooms and elegant, deeply-divided foliage. Flowering freely in early and mid summer, it creates a pleasing display that brightens mixed borders and cottage style planting schemes.

Grow this cranesbill in full sun or partial shade. After the main flush of flowers, cut plants back to encourage fresh growth and to maintain a neat and compact growing habit.

Reaching around 45-60cm in height, this plant forms a gently spreading mound that weaves beautifully between shrubs and roses. The blooms rise just above the foliage, and attract a great many bees and other pollinating insects throughout the blooming season.
