Geum 'Tempo Rose' (Avens 'Tempo Rose')

This avens cultivar is a delightful, compact, hardy perennial prized for its gently ruffled rose-pink flowers. Blooming very freely from late spring into early summer, it brings a soft yet cheerful touch to mixed borders and smaller garden spaces.

Reaching to around 25-35cm in height, this is an ideal option for edging paths, filling in gaps at the front of beds or borders, and for planting in containers. The upright flower stems and the flowers upon them create a light, airy effect above the leaves.

This avens prefers a location in fertile, moist but well-drained or well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Not much care is required. Just remove faded blooms to extend the flowering period, and divide clumps every few years to maintain performance and flowering.
