Daylily 'Stella de Oro' is a popular, compact daylily that is valued for its bright, golden-yellow flowers and its exceptional repeat-flowering habit. Each bloom only lasts for a single day, but new buds open continuously from early summer well into the autumn.

Reaching around 30 or 40cm in height, it forms tidy clumps of arching, strap-like foliage that provides some structure even when the plant is not in flower. Its manageable size makes it ideal for edging paths, filling gaps in beds or borders, or planting in containers.

Like other daylilies, this cultivar will do best in full sun, though it can tolerate partial shade. It likes a well-drained soil. Water during prolonged dry spells. Like other daylilies, this is an edible plant, though note that like other daylilies, it is also toxic to cats.
