Jasminum nudiflorum (Winter Jasmine)

Flower buds open on the previous season’s growth. Unusually, this means flowers on Winter Jasmine appear before leaves emerge.

The long pliable shoots can be tied in to supports or left to wander over banks and low structures.

After flowering, cut back older stems in spring. This prompts fresh growth for the display next winter and helps avoid woodiness from setting in.
