This red hot poker cultivar is admired for its tall, torch-like flower spikes in rich shades of red and orange. Appearing throughout the summer, the vibrant blooms create a strong vertical accent and bring warmth to mixed borders.

Around 90cm to 1.2m tall, this perennial forms robust clumps of narrow, arching foliage that provide structure throughout the growing season. The dramatic flower spikes are highly attractive to bees and add an exotic vibe to planting schemes.

Best grown in a well-drained loam or sandy soil in full sun, it should be cut back after flowering and tidied in spring to ensure reliable repeat flowering.
