Liriope muscari 'Big Blue' is a cultivar of lilyturf with evergreen leaves that ensure throughout the year, and rich, violet-purple flowering spikes. It blooms in late summer and forms dense clumps for excellent groundcover in shaded spots.

Liriope muscari 'Big Blue' is a vigorous lilyturf cultivar prized for its evergreen foliage and for its bold spikes of purple flowers. Appearing in the late summer and autumn, the blooms rise above the leaves and are followed by dark, glossy berries.

This plant grows to 30-45cm tall, forming dense, slowly spreading clumps of evergreen foliage that create effective groundcover below shrubs or trees, and along shaded path edges.

Thriving in moist but well drained acidic or neutral soil in dappled or partial shade, this is an easy-case, relatively low-maintenance choice.
