Panicum virgatum 'Prairie Sky' (Switchgrass 'Prairie Sky')

Switchgrass 'Prairie Sky' is a cultivar of a North American species that has blueish-green leaves and delicate, dropping, blueish-green panicles softly swinging above the foliage, which turns orange in the autumn months. It grows to around a metre and a half tall and a metre wide.

This ornamental grass needs full sun, and free-draining soil. It is drought-tolerant once established but likes a moderately moist and fertile soil as long as it does not become waterlogged.
