Phlox paniculata 'David' is a cultivar of perennial phlox which has an AGM, and which is considered a good plant for pollinators. It has large heads of pure white, slightly scented flowers in the mid to late summer.

Phlox pan. 'David' (Perennial Phlox 'David')

This perennial phlox is admired for its generous cluster of pure white, lightly fragrant flowers. Blooming from midsummer and potentially into early autumn, it provides a bright and elegant display when many other plants are fading.

Forming sturdy, upright clumps around 90cm to 1.2m in height, the foliage is deep green and offers good resistance to mildew in favourable conditions. The large flower heads are very attractive to butterflies and bees.

Grow this plant in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. It benefits from regular watering during dry spells and should be deadheaded and cut back in early spring to extend flowering and ensure continued health and vigour.
