Rudbeckia fulg. 'Goldsturm' (Coneflower 'Goldsturm')

Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm' is a coneflower admired for its bright golden-yellow petals surrounding prominent dark brown centres. It blooms from late summer well into autumn, and delivers a bold splash of colour and aid for pollinators towards the tail end of the growing season.

Reaching around 60 to 75cm in height, it forms strong, upright clumps of deep green foliage that provide a sturdy base for the long-lasting flowers. Bees and butterflies flock to the flowers.

Doing best in a fertile, moist yet free-draining soil in full sun or light shade, it is reliable and relatively easy to grow for an abundance of blooms. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering and divide established clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
