Tiarella 'Spring Symphony' (Foam Flower 'Spring Symphony')

This elegant, shade-loving perennial foamflower has frothy spikes of soft pink to white flowers which appear in mid to late spring and can ensure over several months, sometimes producing a second flush of flowers before autumn.

Reaching around 25-35cm in height, it forms compact clumps suited even to smaller gardens. The clumps spread slowly, adding interest with foliage beyond the flowering period, in shaded borders, under shrubs or in woodland gardens.

It thrives in cool, sheltered positions, in full or partial shade where the soil is moist yet reasonably free-draining and rich in organic matter. Spend blooms can be removed after blooming and older leaves can be removed in spring to keep things looking tidy.
